    David Nole's entrepreneurial journey began in 2009 when he laid the foundation for what would later evolve into the mass media company A.N. Publishing. Fueling his passion for captivating storytelling, David launched the blog Man of the Hour, igniting a spark that would shape the company’s future. With unwavering dedication, he transformed Man of the Hour into a dynamic digital magazine by 2012, catering to the modern lifestyle of the discerning 25 to 34-year-old gentleman.

    Driven by a commitment to audience expansion and recognizing the need for a platform dedicated to the voices of women, David unveiled Sommet Dame in 2015—a digital magazine tailored specifically for dynamic 25 to 34-year-old women. This expansion solidified A.N. Publishing's presence as a multifaceted media company, catering to the diverse needs and interests of its audience.

    Building upon this success, David Nole set his sights on the realm of current affairs, birthing Modern Treatise in 2017. Initially centered solely on domestic politics, this visionary publication soon expanded its purview to encompass international affairs, completing the powerful trifecta of A.N. Publishing's lifestyle division. As the Founder and Publisher, David's foresight and acumen propelled Modern Treatise to become a trusted source of insightful analysis and thought-provoking commentary.

    David's insatiable quest for innovation led him to establish the entertainment division of A.N. Publishing in 2018 with the launch of A Hot Set. This groundbreaking digital entertainment trade platform focuses on amplifying the voices of people of color, ushering in a new era of journalism in the entertainment industry. Simultaneously, David also assumed the role of Editorial Director, shaping the vision and direction of A Hot Set.

    In addition, David's ingenuity thrived as he expanded his reach into the realm of serialized television. In late 2020, he introduced Serialized TV as a digital news platform, immersing audiences in the captivating world of serialized television series across domestic and international markets. Sensing the evolving media landscape, David further evolved Serialized TV in 2023, transforming it into an audio-video platform that provides immersive news coverage and insightful commentary on the global landscape of serialized television programming.

    As David continues to spearhead the technical and creative development of A.N. Publishing and its diverse brands, his visionary leadership remains the driving force behind the company's continued success in shaping the future of digital media.

  • Connor Bryant, Editor-in-Chief, Modern Treatise

    Connor Bryant is Modern Treatise’s Editor-In-Chief. With a rich background in history, politics, and international affairs, Connor's ascent commenced in 2017 as an American political center-right commentator for Modern Treatise's weekly Liberty Exposé column, swiftly cementing his status as a prolific opinion journalist. Recognizing his exceptional insights, Connor transitioned to a Contributor for the biweekly National Security column, captivating readers with his astute analysis of global security dynamics.

    Driven by an unyielding desire to explore the world beyond borders, Connor charted new territories as the pioneer of Modern Treatise's first international column, The Globe. This groundbreaking endeavor paved the way for the publication's expansion into a robust international department, solidifying Modern Treatise's global coverage under Connor's stewardship. In March 2020, Connor was elevated to the pivotal role of International Editor, assuming responsibility for fortifying the digital publication's international coverage and fostering a deep understanding of world affairs.

    To build upon his work for Modern Treatise, Connor assumed an additional role as Editor-In-Chief in September 2020 overseeing the overall content strategy and direction of the digital media platform while retaining oversight of international content.

    As of January 2024, Connor simply retains his role as the Editor-In-Chief and will continue to manage the development and expansion of content for Modern Treatise.

    Connor’s commitment to intellectualism prowess and unraveling the complex tapestry of global affairs has him concurrently serving as a Research Director at London Politica and a Research Analyst at Gulf State Analytic. Connor's erudition in the realms of international politics and security stands unparalleled. Notably, Connor's tenure as a Terrorism and Security Researcher for the CRTG Working Group and his role as a China Affairs Writer at The Millennial Source further cement his reputation as a thought leader on critical global issues.

    Embodying the spirit of a seasoned journalist, Connor has penned op-ed pieces that have graced the esteemed pages of The Daily Sabah and TRT World, with a laser focus on the intricate dynamics of the Middle East.

    Connor holds a Bachelor of Science in Global Politics and Security and is pursuing his Master’s focused on Security Studies; Connor's academic pursuits amplify his holistic understanding of the multifaceted realm of international relations.

    As the International Editor at Modern Treatise, Connor Bryant spearheads the development and expansion of groundbreaking reportage that spans the vast continents of Africa, mainland Europe, the Latin American region, and the Middle East—additionally, his specialized coverage of the evolving presence of China as a rising superpower on the world stage. Thus, Connor sheds light on the pivotal geopolitical landscapes, encapsulating the essence of Modern Treatise's commitment to delivering nuanced, comprehensive, and insightful journalism.

  • TV Editor, A Hot Set

    Brooklyn Hollander is a seasoned journalist and TV Editor for A Hot Set. With a strong background in journalism, including roles at Trident Magazine and Terra Magazine, Brooklyn brings a wealth of experience to her position. During this time, Brooklyn wrote and published over 60 digital articles and contributed to the production of more than 15 print magazines. Her dedication and talent caught the attention of LA Times High School Insider, where she also had the opportunity to work. In addition, Brooklyn has worked as a copyeditor for Studentlife Newspaper and served as a guest reporter for The Yonsei Annals while studying abroad in South Korea.

    Brooklyn has an educational background in Global Cultural Studies, Korean Language, and Culture from Washington University.

    Recognized for her academic achievements, Brooklyn is an AP Scholar with distinction and has received an Academic Enlamp with the highest honor. She has also been honored with an Academic Letter of distinction and received the English Departmental Award. Throughout her academic journey, she consistently demonstrated excellence, earning a place on the Dean's List for five semesters and graduating in the top 5% of her senior class.

    In her role as the TV Editor for A Hot Set, Brooklyn Hollander oversees all aspects of scripted and unscripted television coverage, as well as the coverage of content creators and the developments in the gaming industry.

  • Film Editor, A Hot Set

    Mia Riedel is A Hot Set’s Film Editor, bringing a vibrant blend of practical writing, editing, and journalistic prowess.

    With an unwavering passion for the art of storytelling, Mia possesses a remarkable skill set that encompasses a background in science and technology writing, along with a portfolio of thought-provoking essays featured in esteemed publications.

    Mia's editorial journey commenced at OutRight Publication, where her keen eye for detail and innate ability to refine and enhance content led her to assume the pivotal role of editorial leadership.

    At UCLA, Mia's academic pursuits in philosophy, history, and writing have fostered a profound understanding of the film industry's multifaceted landscape. This diverse educational foundation has enriched her ability to dissect and appreciate the intricate nuances of cinematic artistry.

    As A Hot Set’s Film Editor, Mia’s talent and unwavering dedication to journalism ensures a curated experience that encompasses an array of captivating topics, including awards, festivals, gaming, live theater, corporate analysis, international film & television, and media-related analysis. With her discerning eye and deep passion for cinema, Mia serves as an invaluable asset to A Hot Set's team, shaping the narrative of the film industry with grace and precision.

  • International Editor, Modern Treatise

    Alex Tischer is the Modern Treatise International Editor. With a background in English literature, he honed his editing skills as a Writing Tutor at Wright State University Writing Center and later spent time teaching English as a second language at Northmont High School as a Student Teacher. Alex has also tutored foreign exchange students on all aspects of the English language as an English Tutor.

    As a researcher, Alex has written two papers focused on ecocriticism “Painting a White Picture: History of WSU Through Martin Rockafield” (2022) and “A Supposedly Fun Thing I Did for Four Months” (2023). He is also the co-host of ASLE’s ‘Ecocast.’

    Alex has further written three theater research papers, “A New Method of Performance: Electricity in Theater from Invention to 1927” (2021), “Revisiting Rent and the Myth of Jonathan Larson” (2022), and “Happenstance: A One Person Show” (2023).

    In November 2022, Alex was invited to speak at the 5th Annual Wright State Runkle Woods Symposium in a discussion focused on "Painting a White Picture: History of WSU Through Martin Rockafield”.

    Alex graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature from Wright State University. He also became certified to teach English to people of other native languages. As well as receiving a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree (Summa Cum Laude) and a minor in piano.

    As the International Editor, Alex oversees the coverage of international regions such as Africa, mainland Europe, Latin America, and the Middle East. As well as the targeted focus reporting on the developments in countries of China and India. Thus, Alex assures Modern Treatise engages in multifaceted three-dimensional reporting on the international regions and nations we cover.
