Culture Writer

Are you the next Francesca Carrington (Tatler), Danielle Stein Chizzik (Town & Country), Lauren Ianotti (Glamour) or Jen Ortiz (Marie Claire) of the next generation?

The Culture Writer intern will cover all family, relationship, and society content that identifies with and relates to Sommet Dame's multi-ethnic target demographic.

The candidate should be a good researcher, be keyed into pop culture and be prepared to cover, from a woman’s perspective, pop culture discussions (non-political, non-ideological) for daily lives and various forms of media.  

The candidate should have an interest in covering personal and professional development topics for the woman in the twenty-first century. 

The candidate should understand how to approach and cover a wide variety of family and relationship topics for millennial women.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Write a weekly column focused on non-political & non-ideological pop cultural subject matters, as well as covering books, podcasts, YouTubers, visual artists, and other forms of media.

  • Write a monthly column with a focus on professional development and personal development. 

  • Write a monthly column with a focus on family and relationships in today’s world. 

 

Duration: 6 months

This is a virtual and unpaid internship. Yet, you will gain valuable writing experience.
