Jade Nguyen is the A Hot Set Film Editor, where she oversees the publication’s coverage ranging from film and live theater to awards and festivals, as well as the corporate and international side of the entertainment industry. Drawing on a nuanced grasp of media narratives and audience dynamics, Jade ensures incisive reporting and thoughtful analysis that illuminate industry trends, representation, and the shifting role of storytelling in contemporary entertainment. Under her editorial leadership, A Hot Set consistently highlights diverse voices and rising talent across the entertainment media landscape. 

In addition to her work at A Hot Set, Jade serves as a Volunteer Editor at Aqua Maya, where she edits and publishes multiple weekly articles on WordPress, adapting content for U.S. audiences, correcting grammar and structure, and redesigning layouts for improved readability. Jade also works as an Editor and Formatter for the Berkeley Undergraduate Journal, editing in-depth research papers using Adobe InDesign and the Chicago Manual of Style, while maintaining the unique voice of each author. At TROIKA Undergraduate Journal, she plays a key role in reviewing submissions, offering editorial feedback, and formatting final pieces to meet publication standards.

With a strong background in editorial work across academic and cultural publications. Advancing her education, targeting a degree in Rhetoric at the University of California, Berkeley, Jade brings a detail-oriented and stylistically versatile approach to editing.
