Scripted TV Long-Form serial JOURNALIST

The Scripted TV Long-Form Serial Journalist intern will cover all year-round weekly and multi-episode-a-week serialized television content related to the drama series Africa, Asia, Latin America, mainland Europe, Oceania, the United Kingdom, and the United States as it identifies with and relates to A Hot Set’s target demographic.

The candidate should possess an aptitude/interest in writing about the business side of the TV industry.

The candidate should possess an aptitude/interest in reporting on and reviewing long-form scripted television programming.

The candidates should be able to discuss what is happening both on-screen and behind the scenes.

The candidate also should possess critical and intellectual thinking skills to write socially relevant fact-based commentary.

Responsibilities: 

  • Monthly: Column focused on viewing figure averages.

  • Thrice-Monthly: Write in-depth long-form serial television industry-related commentary, features, and more.

  • Special Coverage: Industry interviews, write occasional reviews, and industry-related commentary.

Duration: 6 months

This is a virtual and unpaid internship. Yet, you will gain valuable writing experience.
