The Awards, Festival & Theater Journalist intern will cover all entertainment-related content for the site as it identifies with and relates to A Hot Set’s target demographic.

The candidate should possess an aptitude/interest in writing about the business side of the entertainment industry.

The candidate should possess an aptitude/interest in presenting in writing about news and behind-the-scenes developments in the theater world.

The candidate should possess an aptitude/interest in covering awards season.

The candidate should possess an aptitude/interest in covering film festivals.

The candidate also should possess critical and intellectual thinking skills to write socially relevant fact-based commentary.

Responsibilities:   

• A monthly column on theater news and updates.

• Regularly present awards, nominations, winners, and awards-related commentary.

• Regularly present film festival news and updates.

This is a virtual and unpaid internship. Yet, you will gain valuable writing experience.
