International Latin America REPORTER Internship

The International Latin America Reporter Intern will cover international content focused on the Latin American region as their regular beat for Modern Treatise.
The candidate should be adept at understanding the geopolitics of Latin America.
The candidate should be adept at understanding the nuances of domestic/national politics across Latin America.
The candidate must be able to look at geopolitical subject matters from multiple perspectives.
The candidate must be adept at relying on fact-based evidence rather than political or activist wish-thinking.
The candidate should be adept at understanding the ever-shifting state of the economy or economies of the Latin American region.
Responsibilities:
Write a weekly column covering the social, economic, and political topics related to Latin America from a Latin American perspective.
Special region-related coverage.
Duration: 6 months
This is a virtual and unpaid internship. Yet, you will gain valuable writing experience.
Official Start Date: ASAP
Note: Metro New York, San Francisco, Washington DC, and Chicago residents are strongly encouraged to apply, but location is not required.
