Tanya Sattineni is the Editor-in-Chief of The Ambony, where she spearheads an exciting new era of cultural journalism for Millennials and Gen Z of color. She is curating a space where identity, innovation, and storytelling intersect. Her mission? To challenge the status quo, celebrate diverse narratives, and redefine what culture and lifestyle media look like in today’s fast-evolving world.
Her editorial journey began at Citylife Chiang Mai Magazine, where she immersed herself in the art of storytelling—editing, researching, and writing articles that explored untold histories and community narratives. One of her standout pieces, “The History of the Indian Community” in Chiang Mai, showcased her ability to uncover rich cultural legacies through deep investigative reporting and interviews with key figures. She further honed her skills as a Social Media Coordinator at Global Paint for Charity, Inc., crafting compelling content and elevating the organization’s digital footprint. Most recently, her role as a researcher and writer at Vantage House Media has allowed her to blend political analysis with engaging storytelling for The Delve with Chalin Askew podcast.
Armed with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics & Political Science from Emory University, Sattineni bridges the worlds of journalism, research, and cultural analysis. With The Ambony, she is not just leading a publication—she is building a movement.
